Sickness.

Work has begun to pick up within the last few days, which has been a blessing!

On Wednesday, I sat down and Karin, Claudia, and I began to work more on the website! I have been learning the TYPO3 website editing platform, and I am really enjoying that work so far. Karin has had me update the dates, times, and professors for some of the posted RIO workshops for the coming semester.

Also on Wednesday, I helped out in our Mensa. Max and I were taking trays and putting everything away properly so that it could be cleaned by the company that brings in our food. I finished up my editing in the afternoon and headed home for the day.

Unfortunately, I had to take my first sick day at the office on Thursday. I had been working up a cold since Monday, when I began to have the first sign of my oncoming cold - a tickle in my throat.

Since then, I had been progressively getting worse. Karin and the other ladies in the office were convinced it was because I was not wearing socks and boots in the rain that we have been having lately. I explained that I only have my running shoes and some flats that are closed-toed, and that I was planning on purchasing boots when I got here.

Because of our conversation, I took my remaining lunch break on Wednesday to order some rain boots that will double as snow boots for when the weather gets worse.

I ended up sleeping through my alarm on Thursday morning, and woke up around 9:30 a.m. realizing there was no way I could go to work. I was miserable.I emailed Karin to explain what had happened. I got a call from the office shortly after, and I could barely even talk to tell Claudia that I couldn't make it in to work.

Eric managed to get me up and we made our zucchini pizzas for dinner. I hadn't realized how hungry I was until I ate those.

Going to sleep early, so I can wake up for work tomorrow, hopefully.
