A Relaxing Day and Mexican Independence Day

Ahhh, the joys of having a relaxing Sunday - one where you don't have to wake up to an alarm and can laze around? Yes. That was my kind of day today.

I re-read one of my favorite books on my Kindle, and finished it, and then Skyped with my mom for a little bit. It was good to catch up, but I was exhausted, I am assuming from my day at the Bodensee yesterday.

I got ready that afternoon, and ate some dinner before heading to the Aquarium, a dorm building on campus. Some Mexican students there were celebrating Mexican Independence Day, which was occurring the following day (they were planning on staying up until midnight, but I was tired and did not make it!).

I had a beer to celebrate, and ended up using my Wisconsin State Fair coozie! Many people asked what my coozie was called, and most weren't expecting it to be called something "so cute." Yes, someone actually said that.

This was another great chance to meet more international students! I also saw most of the people that I had met in the past few weeks at the celebration.

Tammi, Sarah, and I at the celebration!

VIVA MEXICO!
